Once your Hytale server is online, getting in is a short job: copy the address from your panel, then either connect to it directly or save it to your server list so it is one click away next time.
Copy your address
Open your server in the control panel. The Overview tab shows the connection address as IP:port, with a copy button, and the Join button in the server header shows the same thing from any tab.
Copy the whole thing, port included. Leaving the port off is the most common reason a correct address finds nothing.
Direct connect
The quickest route, and the one to send people who just want in.
- Open Hytale
- Click Servers
- Click Direct Connect
- Paste the address and connect
Save it to your server list
Better if you plan to come back, which you will.
- Open Hytale
- Click Servers
- Click Add Server
- Paste the address, give it a name, and confirm
- Double-click the entry in the list to join
The name is only a label in your own list, so call it whatever helps you tell servers apart.
Troubleshooting
Nothing happens when you connect. Check the panel says the server is running. A server that is installing or starting does not answer yet.
The address does not work. Copy it again from the panel rather than retyping it. A missing port, or a space picked up in the paste, accounts for most of these.
It worked before and does not now. Confirm the server is still running, and that you are using the current address rather than an old saved entry.
Frequently asked questions
Do my friends need an account with you? No. They need the game and the address.
Do I have to be online for others to play? No. A dedicated server runs independently of any player, which is the reason to rent one.
Which address do I share? The one on the connection card, exactly as shown, port included.
A note on timing: Hytale is not released yet, so the menus above are based on what has been shown of the game and may shift before launch. We will update this guide once servers are genuinely live. If something here does not match what you see, tell support and we will correct it.
