Enabling Crossplay

To allow both Steam and Xbox players to join:

  1. Stop your server
  2. Go to the Startup tab
  3. Enable the Crossplay option
  4. Save and restart the server

When crossplay is enabled, players can join using an Invite Code from the in-game server list instead of a direct IP.

Advanced Launch Parameters

You can add custom launch parameters in the Startup tab:

  • -public 0 — Hides the server from the public server list
  • -savedir [path] — Custom save directory
  • -logFile [path] — Custom log file location
  • -saveinterval [seconds] — World save interval (default: 1800)
  • -backups [count] — Number of automatic backups to keep (default: 4)
  • -backupshort [seconds] — Interval for first backup after save (default: 7200)
  • -backuplong [seconds] — Interval between further backups (default: 43200)

Applying Changes

After modifying any settings:

  1. Save your changes in the control panel
  2. Restart the server for changes to take effect
  3. Some world modifier changes require a new world to fully apply

For a group of friends (2-5 players):

  • Keep default combat settings
  • Enable crossplay if anyone plays on Xbox
  • Set save interval to 1200 (20 minutes) for more frequent saves

For larger communities (6-10 players):

  • Consider increasing backup count to 6
  • Use a shorter save interval (900 seconds)
  • Set clear server rules in your server name
