Not straight away. Only servers Northwood Studios has verified are listed, and servers hosted with us are not verified automatically. You apply through !verify static in the console, or by emailing Northwood. Until then players connect with Direct Connect. Our verification guide covers each step.

In the Server Browser they click Direct Connect and type the IP and port from your control panel. Leave out the port and the game tries 7777, which is not the port your server uses. The game is free on Steam, so nobody has to buy anything.

The file allows it, but Northwood delists verified servers above 60 players, so stay at 60 or below if you want to be in the public list. max_players sits in config_gameplay.txt and defaults to 20.

The server includes LabAPI, Northwood's own plugin loader, so you can upload plugin files over FTP and they load on the next start. We do not install or support plugins, and a verified server that runs one has to report itself as modded.

It checks Steam for a new build every time it starts, so a restart after a patch brings it in line with your players' clients. A test branch goes in the Branch field on the Startup tab, followed by a reinstall. Your config files stay.

Plans start at 3 GB, which Northwood rates as enough for a full 25-player vanilla server. Northwood's verification guide asks for 4 GB, so move up a step before you apply for the public list. Memory can be added from the panel and your configs stay where they are.
