Getting Started with Your Palworld Server
This guide covers everything you need to set up your Palworld dedicated server and start playing with friends.
Prerequisites
- An active Palworld server from SpillHosting
- Palworld installed on your PC via Steam
- Your server IP address and port from the control panel
Step 1: Access the Control Panel
- Go to panel.spillhosting.no
- Log in with your SpillHosting credentials
- Select your Palworld server from the server list
Step 2: Configure Your Server
- Navigate to the Startup tab
- Set your Server Name and Server Description
- Set an Admin Password — you'll use this for in-game server management
- Set a Server Password if you want to restrict access
- Configure Max Players (default: 32)
- Click Save
Step 3: Start the Server
- Go to the Console tab
- Click Start
- Wait for the server to finish initializing — the first boot takes longer as it generates the world
The server is ready when you see the message indicating it's listening for connections.
Step 4: Connect to Your Server
- Launch Palworld
- Select Join Multiplayer Game
- At the bottom of the server list, find the Connect field
- Enter your server IP and port (e.g.,
123.456.78.90:8211) - Click Connect
- Enter the server password if one is set
Step 5: Set Yourself as Admin
Once connected to the server:
- Open the chat with Enter
- Type
/AdminPassword YourAdminPassword - You now have admin privileges for the session
Basic Admin Commands

Troubleshooting
Can't Find Server in Browser
- Use direct IP connect instead of the server browser
- Ensure the server has fully started
- Check that your server port is correct (default: 8211)
Connection Timeout
- Verify the server is running in the console
- Double-check the IP address and port
- Ensure you're using the correct password
Server Lag
- Check if the server has enough RAM allocated
- Reduce max player count if needed
- Consider adjusting spawn rates in the server settings
